“Where Contest” — Getting Started

The next phase in setting up our “Where In” Contest will be to grab a Youtube Account specific for the contest, or at least specifically for your Awesome Real Estate Website. The reason for setting this up on it’s own account is because we may eventually just want to set an autopost, so anything we upload to the youtube account gets added to the blog. (More on that later…) For now…

Go grab a new youtube account
Go take a 5-15 second video of some random person, place, or thing… something you think people might recognize, but don’t make it super easy.
Upload the video to your Youtube Account.
Then create a new blog post on your site with the title “Where In (Your Area Here)”
Embed the youtube video in the post.

Adding Facebook Comments To Your Awesome Real Estate Website

In this tutorial we’re quickly adding Facebook commenting to our Awesome Real Estate Website Blog Posts. This will come in handy soon because we’re going to be driving more traffic from Facebook as we launch our local “Where Is This” picture/video contests… The first person who comments on the post of course will always be the winner, so we need the comment box

Just got off our weekly session and a request came for a quick list of simple html snippets that folks can use on their sites… We always recommend the awesome free html training library at w3schools.com. But if you want the down and dirty file for the most common html stuff we can think of… Click here to download the quick file we just put together… Because after all, if you’re a serious real estate marketer and you don’t make it a point to learn at least a little html… well, you’re not really all that serious (or with the times)… are you?

Get Clicky! (Track It)

You should see it toward the bottom left of your dashboard, and it’ll give you some info about who’s visiting your site. But there’s a much better way to see who’s interacting with your content, in real time. Enter “Get Clicky,” our favorite website stats tracking app. It’s free but there are some additional PRO features that you may want to pay for after a 30 day trial.
