Funded Proposals for Real Estaters?

A friend recently loaded my up with a few beers and got me involved in an Energy MLM.

Marketing energy seemed like it would be fun. A huge target market, a solid product everyone already needs and uses, lots of puerile headlines to be written featuring the word “gas.” :)

Example ad from my new Energy Biz…

Plus it was an opportunity to get a little out of my comfort zone, to learn some new stuff…. And it hasn’t been disappointing. The last few weeks spent learning mlm marketing best practices has been pretty interesting.

Not surprisingly, the gurus in the Network Marketing space are all teaching Internet Marketing as an alternative to alienating all your non-entrepreneurial friends and relatives with what they inevitably will view as a “pyramid scheme.”

Makes a ton of sense.

What makes even more sense is the concept of the “funded proposal,” which guys like Mike Dillard have apparently been advocating for years.

Basically, a funded proposal is a mechanism which can allow marketers with a small marketing budget to open up the floodgates and spend spend spend in there efforts to build a list and gather interest in their business.

How Does A “Funded Proposal” Work

I’m sure I’ll mess this up this explanation a bit, so at the bottom of this post we’ll include some further resources that explain the Funded Proposal Concept in greater detail, but as I currently understand it, here’s how a funded proposal is meant to work in the network marketing world.

  • Biz Owner creates a page offering something of value related to helping other Biz Owners grow their business
  • Biz Owner drives traffic to this squeeze offer.
  • As folks opt-in to the offer Biz Owner does low pressure follow which offers value to the prospect. Usually this value comes in the form of marketing tips.
  • Interspersed in the follow up are subtle calls to action inviting contact from the prospect. When prospects reach out the Biz Owner “qualifies” whether or not the prospect is a good fit for his/her opportunity. (A big departure from calling your Mom and trying to get her to join your Energy drink company, instead people interested in building there own business are connecting with you.)
  • CRITICAL INGREDIENT: The cost is driving traffic is “funded” by offering non-qualified or non-interested prospects affiliate products that will help them in their endeavors.

Did you catch that last part? Essentially, the idea is this: If they don’t buy what you’re selling, sell them something else!

Use the proceeds from these secondary sales to continue to drive new folks through your funnel.

Here’s a Graphic Illustrating This A Little Further…

How Can You Create A Funded Proposal For Your Real Estate Business?

In our 4 Phase Lead Generation System Building Protocol, we detail a lot of the necessary steps, and if you’re a member with us, you have all the tools you need to set up the process detailed above.

All that’s missing are the products and/or affiliate offers that you can deliver as part of phase 4, “Incubating With Content” (which we may have to rename “Incubating with Profitable Content” :)

Moving forward, we’re going to be committing to coming up with offers and protocols that will help members “fund” their real estate marketing systems, but for now here are some initial ideas:

Offers You Can Make To Real Estate Prospects Who Aren’t Ready To Buy Or Sell Yet

  • Real Estate Investing Training. Books, Online Courses, Software Platforms…
  • “Get Rich”/Financial Training. Books, Online Courses, Seminars…
  • Coupons For Local Businesses (You could set up a deal where the Biz Owner compensates you every time a coupon is used.)
  • Social Media Marketing Services – You’re doing this stuff anyway in your own Real Estate Business, why not branch out and offer the same to other local entrepreneurs?
  • Household Products – Did you know Home Depot has an affiliate program?
  • Household Services – Did you know that for a relatively small investment you can become a reseller of Energy, TV, Phone, Security, and more? (email support@retechulous.com for details :) )

We’re probably missing a number of ideas here, and yes we know there are a lot of nuts and bolts “how to do this” details that are left out of this post.

Because after all, if you had an infinite budget for driving folks through your Real Estate Marketing funnels, do you think you could do a few extra transactions and earn a few extra commissions this year?

IMPORTANT NOTICE –> You should definitely take action on the info in this post. It will help you. That said, please make sure you familiarize yourself with rules and regulations regarding affiliate marketing. And… along these lines… please know that as always, following certain links on this site may allow us to earn an affiliate commission if you buy any of the products you find as a result….
