I was just building a client site and creating a video gallery page with Tubepress when an idea hit me. Wouldn’t it be cool to have a gallery page of home ownership education videos in order to add some depth to the newly launched site and increase the chances that people would hang around a while?
Turns out setting it up was very simple thanks to Tubepress and the awesomeness of Youtube. Even better, when I was searching for Homeownership themed sites, a gallery of vids popped up from none other than my Southern Cal mortgage guy friend Scott Schang. A quick call to Scott to get his (not really needed because it’s freely available on Youtube) permission, plus a second or two tweaking some Tubepress shortcode and here’s what the gallery looked like: (Keep in mind, this series is ever so slightly branded to Scott, but not so much that it lessens the effect. And if you’d like, you can just record a similar series yourself, or get your mortgage guy or gal on it!)
Why You Should Set Up A Home Ownership Education Video Gallery
If your site has a good “Core Lead Capture Element” on it somewhere, a home ownership education video gallery like this will drastically increase the time many of your visitors spend on your site, therefore increasing the chances that your Core Lead Capture Element will do it’s job, drawing people into your “house” so you can incubate and convert them sometime down the road…
How To Set This Up
- Install and activate the Wordpress Tubepress Plugin
- Go to a post or page, switch to html view, and include the code snippet Code Snippet In This Downloadable File.
- That’s it! Really… that’s it!
