I Made A Real Estate Widget! (Sorta)– 8,000 First Time Homebuyer Tax Credit Countdown

I was looking for a real estate countdown widget yesterday, in order to dress up a post my CentralPaLiving.Com partner Walt Wensel wrote about the first time homebuyer tax credit expiring. Couldn’t find one, but as I searched, I noticed that Widgetbox.Com jas a pro membership feature that allows you to build custom widgets based on stuff others have created. So, not as good as actually putting together your own stuff, but if you want to create a real estate widget on the fly, and can’t find one… well, the service comes in kinda handy. But here’s what I’m wondering. I know that housing a widget created in this way could be an ok link baiting strategy, especially if it’s got the potential to appeal to a lot of web site owners [i.e. real estate agents with websites,] but will the links embedded in the widget get followed, or is that a no go because it’s embedded in javascript? Yeah, I no… probably not as confirmed by this page generated by the “what google sees tool” at seo-browser.com. Doesn’t matter, I still think an $8,000 Tax Credit Countdown Widget was a pretty nifty idea? Will you use it on your site to try to scare on the fence buyers into making a move?
